<FONT face=Helv size=2> <div>We went to the vet on Friday. Maya has went from being a stone pig to a sludge pig. Her</div> <div>bladder is still irritated, but "feels much better than 2 weeks ago". He looked at her urine</div> <div>under the microscope and saw alot of very very tiny crystals which look like little dog</div> <div>bones. The vet thinks our strategy of unsweetened cranberry juice 3 x per day, shilintong 2</div> <div>x per day, and antibiotics 1 x per day seems to be working. He is optimistic that continuing</div> <div>this regimin will clean out her system, allow her bladder walls to heal. We just can't let the</div> <div>crystals precipitate into stones again. Thank god she is a pig with a GI track that handles</div> <div>anitbiotics so well because we are going on 6 weeks now. </div> <div> </div> <div>Over the past few days, her appetite has improved and she is drinking alot more water. Her</div> <div>coat is back to being shiny and smooth as
well. I am praying that this strategy works. She is</div> <div>such a sweet little pig and has been such a trooper through all of this. Putting up with</div> <div>mommy and daddy and the many syringe feedings has to be stressful.
