I wrote a few weeks back and have a few more questions on supplementing Churbie's care with shilintong.
I have had him seen and he has another stone. I am frustrated because I just had one removed in October and here we are with another one!!
Against my better judgment I listened to this new vet and didnt use the shillingtong to prevent another formation.
We are currently treating Churbie with antibiotics and probiotics, and metacam for pain....until we can get him stable enough for removal of stone #3.
This vet practice has never heard of the herb and says I can use it at my own risk. All I know is he used it after stone #1 and didnt have another till a year and a half later. They site that he was much younger then, and attribute this as to why the long space between stones. Churbie is 3 years old now and so far seems to be hanging in there. Bloodwork came back normal but urine came back bad (So they are treating with antibiotics)
Anyone out there with thoughts and success with shilintong?
Thanks again~ Laurel and Churbie
