I assmume you know that there should be no alfalfa in his diet. Also  
check on the vegetables you are giving him. Dandilion, parsely, dill  
and other greens can be very high and contribute to stones. I was  
also told 50 mg of vitamin C are good for keeping away stones. My vet  
prescribed a drug they use on cats to dissolve stones. It worked on  
one of my guinea pigs although is hard on the tummy but was better  
tolerated when given yoghurt before and after. I can't remember the  
name at the moment.
