Hi Evelyn,
I've been giving her 1 - 1.5 ml of diluted cranberry juice 3 x per day (I fill the syringe with 2 ml, but she always spits about half of it out). I mix it with about 75% cranberry and 25% bottled water.
I also wanted to post about some issues we had with her on Wed - Thurs, which kind scared me at first. I don't think she was drinking enough water on Wed night and started peeing / dripping bright red. Her rear end was very very wet and red. I panicked because I thought it was blood, but it turned out to be cranberry (it dried bright red, not brown). I held off on the cranberry for about 18 hours because I don't want to overload her system. However, in retrospect, she seemed to feel alot better and it didn't seem to bug her, other than having a wet rear and me cleaning her up. I'm wondering if having her bladder bathed in cranberry may have helped. However, I am now giving her additional bottled water with the cranberry.
On the water, I read somewhere that Penta brand water is great, but pricey.
On a separate note, Maya is continuing to pass sludge. She still looks and acts better than she did before she passed her stone. She also has urine scald or cystisis (spelling?) and has sores "down there". I've been cleaning her with diluted hibiclens and using a tiny bit of balmex. I just bought some echinecea which was recommended by Peter Gurney, so I will try that. I also bought some chanca piedra which is a spanish herb that means "break stone". I ready a few postings that this may help. This stuff is also in the cranberry critter berries by oxbow hay company. I'll send an update with any results from this.
Best regards,
Jamie and & Piggies Maya, Cookie, Annie, Gracie, Conan, Harry, and Lloyd

Phoebe has recurrent bladder infection and is on antibiotics off and
on pretty much constantly. She was on shilintong, which she likes for
some unknown reason. Do you water down you unsweetened cranberry
juice? How much do you giver her per feeding? I think I may try this
in conjunction with changin her water to unflouridated low mineral
water.
