[Stones] Cornsilk

I don't know if I've already posted this to the list or not. Phoebe
was still squeaking when she peed last week after two weeks on
antibiotics (sulfa) and a diet change. It wasn't as bad but still the
squeaking usually went away after a couple of days.

I went looking for shillitong last week but couldn't find it but I
did find corn silk. Within a day or two, she wasn't squeaking and was
much more comfortable. Now that the heat wave has dissipated she is
more like her old self. Now the squeaking is when she wants food (and
of corse it sounds different). She's more active and demanding again.

I gave her corn silk tea but I realize because she is a pig and not
human I gave her fresh corn silk and I suppose she could eat the left
over silk that was made into a tea as well because it's like hay.

I used to give Emily, and older pig of mine who had enlarged kidneys
for many, many years. When the vet tested her kidney function when
she was well past five, even though they were cystic and enlarged she
had great kidney function. It surprised everyone. I think it was the
corn silk.

I think I will be getting another urine analysis for Phoebe a week or
two after her stint with the antibiotics to see how everything is.
