Pat,

I subscribed you to the Stones list; be sure and check your Spam
settings on Yahoo, as they will often discard newsletters as spam.

I'm sorry to hear about Guinevere's stones. Luckily you have a vet
that is willing to learn, so at least there is some hope here.

It's important that you try and get Guinevere to drink more; this can
help in the long run (and hopefully prevent more stones from forming).
(Leah - if your're reading this, would you tell Pat how you've helped
Brownie Bear with her stones?)

It seems that female piggies have a better chance of passing stones
with surgery as an alternative (with males, it's rare that a stone
will easily pass). There are some alternative therapies - herbs such
as Shilintong (available via the web) - sometimes help a piggie pass a
stone. I will leave it to our more experienced members to share the
details of their success with shilintong.

Many of us can also put your vet in touch with a vet that has had
experience in stone surgery.

Tex
