Hi,
My Pansy (age 4 1/2) had a giant bladder stone removed from her urethra back
in September. It was the size of a coffee bean! My poor little
piggen......... Previous to that, the SMELL of her urine would just knock you back. I
change the cage every other day, or daily if it needs it anyway, thank
heavens. After getting the stone out, she did much much better, the smell went
away, and for a few weeks, she was just another pig. She still has some pretty
big tumors, that we suspect are ovarian, that didn't respond to the hormone
injections.
Now, her infection is back, and in spite of the Bactrim, doesn't seem to be
going away. For a week or so she will be fine, then BANG. Also, she has
passed these gobs of bloody mucous. Whether they are uterine or intestinal,
we're not sure.......she has always had a moooshy poop problem.
Do you have any ideas for how to combat this infection? We have a good
health food store in town, so I should be able to get her any kind of herbal
remedy.
Francine
