Hello Friends: I wanted to share Gum's post mortem results with all of you.
She had stones in both kidneys. They found stones and crystals, infection, and
extreme inflammation in the bladder. Her right kidney had a huge abscess on
it, that's why it appeared so large. The vet and I believed she was in total
kidney failure on the day I took her to the hospital. My vet discussed the
possibilities of treatment, if we knew what we know now. It is a puzzle with any
living being as to a course of action for health. He felt he had learned
information from his experiences with Gum and I have also. I know Gum experienced a
better quality of life for all of your help, wisdom, and knowledge. She had a
quality time, right before she passed. She had all her favorite food and ran
around happily, played tricks on me and taught me so much all of her life. I have
a goal to use my talents to write and illustrate stories about my Gum for
children. I would love to have the whole world know the adventures of one
magnificent pig. If any of you would like to have any of your stories developed, do
not hesitate to contact me. I know Sweetie Pig was another of those magnificent
pigs, whose story could educate children about so many important issues.
Thank you to all and peace to all piggies! Peggy and Stick, Puff, Cookie Dough,
Kit Kat, Jack, Almond Joy, Lilly, Krackle and Freddie and Bun
