[Stones] stones -how to prevent...

This is in response to S Mogensen's posting about preventing bladder stones and the subsequent UTIs associated with them.  I was surprised to hear seeds and oatmeal would be acceptable supplements in the guinea diet in preventing stones.   That has not been what I've discovered in my similar quest to prevent stones in my guineas.  I am not a vet and have no medical experience, however, from what I've ascertained, seeds and oatmeal do not provide a suitable Ca:ph ratio and thus are not recommended.  I defer to Tex or the other experts on the stone panel to share their expertise, but I recommend S. Morgensen review the following link for additional information on stones:
