[Stones] incontinence

Our five year old cavy, Star,  has developed quite a case of 
incontinence secondary to her UTI and bladder stones.   Her rump is 
soaked with urine.  We have been washing the area off twice a day, 
patting it with paper towels more frequently and applying diluted 
betadine and balmex, with an occasinal preparation-h coating.  We are 
continuing to give her bactrim (now about day 14 on bactrim). 
Will this incontinence go away as the UTI is cleared up by the 
antibiotic?   Will it go away if we opt for an operation to remove the 
stones?
